This variation on the classic Manhattan uses fig-infused bourbon and features a Love and Victory evil eye cocktail pick.
The sweetness of the bourbon is perfectly enhanced by the figs and the black walnut bitters.
Ingredients
2 oz Fig-Infused Bourbon
1 oz Antica Formula Sweet Vermouth
2 Dashes Fee Brothers Black Walnut Bitters
2 Dashes Fee Brothers Orange Bitters
Instructions
Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass filled with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with half a fresh fig.
For fun, add sugar to the sliced figs and torch them, like when making crème brûlée.
Fig Brûlée
Slice fresh figs in half and place them on a flame-proof surface. Add sugar. I recommend Demerara sugar.
Using a kitchen torch, melt the sugar until it bubbles (about 30 seconds) and then let the figs cool.
