This cocktail was created by Vancouver Island’s craft bartender Ryan Malcolm.
The benedictine and lemon balances the aquavit and delivers a very smooth and balanced experience.
This is an excellent cocktail to introduce someone to the unique flavor of aquavit.
I decided to make a more citrus forward variation of the cocktail and did not add the chocolate bitters.
Ingredients
1.5 oz Long Table Långbord Akvavit (aquavit)
0.5 oz Long Table Texada Vodka
0.5 oz Benedictine
1 dash of Scrappy’s Chocolate bitters
Twist of lemon
Instructions
Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
