Happy National Aviation Day! This variation on the classic aviation cocktail replaces the lemon with lime and adds benedictine + orange and cherry bitters. The lime smooths out the cocktail and the Benedictine + bitters add complexity. Recipe from Stir and Strain.
Ingredients
2 oz Gin
3/4 oz Lime Juice
1/2 oz Maraschino Liqueur
1/2 oz Creme De Violet Liqueur
1/4 oz Benedictine
3 drops Cherry Bitters
3 drops Orange Bitters
1 Cherry and Twist of Lime
Instructions
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with cherry and lime.
